My Great Big Delphinium

I`m not going into work until this afternoon so of course I`d take this fine opportunity to take a morning peek out back.......

Looks kind of strange all by itself but hopefully next year it will grow some buddies.

These are growing in various places out in the field so I dug up a clump. I know it`s a weed and have no idea which one, but I needed a filler in that spot and in full bloom this stuff looks pretty.

And then Angus had to get in on the scene.
And then Teddy appeared tip toeing across the bricks....

The Echinacea plant is doing well. The butterfly bush is in full bloom at the bottom but only buds through the rest, but at least it`s alive and well.
We`ve witnessed butterfly landings on both while sitting on the wood of the garden box enjoying our progress.......we really need a table and chairs though for comfort lol Oh well, good enough for now.
I realize eventually when everything I`ve planted grows that it will hopefully keep growing bigger and I`ll have to divide and move some. Laurel and boxwood and all these plants, crowded house... oh my! but until then....

The tomatoeless tomatoe plants the garden centre was throwing out are growing but I think it may be too late for tomatoes now. And the sorry looking free geranium in the middle is still alive.

Some mums I bought for at least some fall blooms with Queen Annes Lace I dug up in the middle. I like Queen Annes lace although it`s season will probably be over by the time the mums bloom.
Mini blooms in the other pot that were also on their way to the garbage.

Still waiting for more of the same colour bricks to be left over at the site yet. All the wrong colours there at the moment and we can`t take anything that`s on a skid , only loose ones. Hopefully soon!
I really haven`t much idea what I`m doing, being new at this, but with my Dad`s head full of knowing practically everything about plants and my experimenting, hopefully it will all come together.
Oh..Angus wanted an encore........

Your flowers and plants are gorgeous. And the cats, too! I think the brick work looks very nice. I'm so enjoying your garden since I haven't found much that will grow for me in my climate.

OMG! That delphinium is huge!!! I would be SO tempted to cut it and bring it in to the house! That is always my fav in an arrangement. My echinacea is doing just ok. I think maybe I need to water it more often, giggle. Your kitty looks quite pleased with your brick handiwork!! xoxo

Beautiful flowers and garden. You have such a green thumb! I have echinacea seeds that never made it in the soil this year. I hope I remember them next year.

Hugs to Ms. Tea!
