Oatmeal Cookies
Make in large saucepan (woops....where did that instruction come from? I don`t seem to be paying attention today at all...see last post)
8 tblsp. shortening
8 tblsp. butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Add:
2 cups flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
Form into balls and press with fork.
Place on tin foil ( my Mum`s thing, but I thought it would be easier than greasing and flouring so I did same)
Bake at 350 until brown.
Mine seem to be good at about 10 minutes.
It made 34 cookies....with the last batch just now, being slightly on the burnt side due to being preoccupied.

Yum! All mums have the best recipes. I absolutely love oatmeal cookies..and so does my cat.
