The Patio Continues and a Wee Wizzy

We got to work this morning, and while my sweet hubby did some more leveling.....

I watched........

The bricks are all laid on this end now. They`re crooked, but we`ll fix that when we space them out evenly. Isabel came to check it out........

Then it was time to level the other end......

But wait........what`s this? Not a hummingbird. We had no idea but it was cool. I`ll just call it a wee wizzy. It had wings like a fairy, fine and clear and they fluttered at lightening speed.

At the other end we ran out of bricks again. Luckily we can just go and get some from my brother now. I think Elvis likes the new patio.

The patio is looking great, I love the waggon wheel in the middle. I think your wee whizzer might be a hummingbird hawk moth. It's whizzing so fast that I can't see it that clearly so maybe I'm wrong!

The bricks look great. I especially like it when I can sit back with a cold drink and watch my hubby hard at work!! Just kidding! You're both doing a really nice job with this project.

I agree with the "hummingbird hawk moth". Out here, they're called Hummingbird moths, but I think they're also called Sphinx moths and Hawk moths.
Fascinating critters.

I laughed at the photo that showed what you did while your hubby worked~ you were supervising!

Your patio looks great. I especially like the pattern in the middle. Looks like you had a perfect day to work, hmmm, or should I say supervise in the garden, lol. TWT

We have the clear winged hummingbird moth here too, but rarely and only in extremely hot summers like 2003 they come so far up the north.

Oh your patio looks so beautiful with the new bricks!
