A Sunny First Day of October With The Animals.....

It`s been a beautiful sunny day so far today! We really deserve it I think after September being cold and rainy for most of the month.
I spread some fertilizer on the gardens and switched these two astors around. They`re both astors. They look so much like the mums planted on the other end, it`s hard to tell. I think it looks much better now though....

Then I decided to do some animal watching.....

The cats love to sit on that old bench and sunbathe so I pushed things over to make some room. Poor Isobel looks a bit squashed there...

"Bloody hell.....here he comes!" says Isobel...

Time to hide....

"I`ll pretend I don`t see her" says Angus....

"And I`ll nab her from this way"....

A girl can`t get any peace around here...

"Hmmm...what`s this?"....

"Hmmm....yah, what is this?"....

"It`s a new spot to walk on" Teddy thinks.....

But Elvis thinks this spot might be the one and maybe "she" won`t corner him with that stupid camera...

Great photos of your feline and canine friends, Elvis is definitely looking as though he's had enough of being a film star. 'I vant to be alone!' he's saying!
The two asters do look better now you've changed them round, glad you're having a sunny day at last.

Tea, the yard looks beautiful. I get inspired by all the ideas out there. A friend of mine, Ang, has a beautiful garden in the suburbs of Chicago. If you go to her blog, you can check some of her past entries and see some of the most incredible garden designs. Very English. Be sure to click on the photo to enlarge!

What is it when there are two cats on a bench, one always wants to sit where the other one is..!They certainly seem interested in your future veggie garden, maybe they are hoping you will plant some catmint for them...? I was out visiting today, but when I came home it seems it had been raining here all day, so the garden would have had to wait anyway.

This was an absolutely delightful humurous post to visit!! The cats are gorgeous as the flowers and your dog those eyes I can see right into it's soul!

Hello Tea....

This really does look like one of those beautiful balmy autumn days that I love and fortunately for us in England & Wales, our September has been filled with days like this. However, October is kicking off with not such a good start, yesterday and today its rainy and cold.

I’m really pleased that you called by and left comments for me. I see we have a lot in common - country living, cottage & vintage styles, (I just love shabby chic), gardening, books, cats and Oh! my Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings simply have to be organised around Coronation Street. How often is it serialised in Ontario and I wonder where you are up to in the story line, not that I would dream of giving any secrets away.

What beautiful cats you have, simply love Angus, long haired ones are my very favourite.

Love - Marion
