Curious About Beta Blogger....

One lone little Johnny-Jump-Up I took a picture of the other day that miraculously planted itself in the driveway. The snow has gone again here...for now anyway. The news spoke of Niagara Region and Buffalo getting it big time this morning!
Just a little note to ask anyone who has the new Beta Blogger what they think of it?
I`m thinking of trying it but am a bit unsure yet. Also we only have dial up out our way and I wonder if it would be worth going for it anyway. Anyone use it with dial up?
Anyone dislike it or happy with it, whether having fast or slow internet connection? Can you accidentally completely eliminate your blog by pressing " Switch your blog today"? hehehe

I've switched to Beta. Now that some bugs have been ironed out I'm happy with it, but I don't see any big advantage to switching.

Hi Tea, I'm new to blogging and I set up my first acct. at Blogger, and then saw beta Blogger, so changed over a week later.I didn't lose anything in the transfer. I felt as I was just starting I might as well go with that, rather than have to change down the road. I'm very technically challenged. I have hi-speed cable internet (sometimes no speed, depending on the provider but that's another story)I do find it easier to customize and change the template, as you don't need to edit html to do it. You can save your original template before changing over, and then if beta Blogger doesn't suit you, you can change back. However, having said that I don't know how easy that would be. Good luck..

Like you, I am stuck with sloooowwww dialup but I switched to Beta about 2 weeks ago with no problem. I still have not had the time to thoroughly go through it and see what, if any, the advantages are. However, so far, so good.

I just switched to Beta today (but I have broadband). I think it might actually be better w/ dialup because updates are quicker so you're less likely to have it lose connection in the middle of an update.
Also, it took me awhile to change my header back and figure out how to add in my link boxes for blogher or houseblogs.net (you add a HTML spot). But it's really nice to have an overall layout and you can drag and drop the elements around as opposed to going into the code and cutting and pasting and hoping you didn't screw up!
Now I just need to go back and add labels to previous posts for search purposes...

Thanks for the comments you left on my blog. I'm using Blogger Beta & am really pleased with it. It's really simple to use, and I have no problem uploading pictures or video to it. I started off using Wordpress but find it slow & unreliable, I'd certainly recommend Blogger Beta (although I started from scratch, I don't know how easy it is to transfer your blog to the Beta version, but the help groups are very helpful)

Hi T,
I recently switched. So far it's not bad. The template is easy to change and customize. You can change ink and font types. You can add links a lot easier. You don't have to know html. As far as i can tell user friendly. I'm still playing with it but that's what I figured out so far.
