My Great Big Mess

Happy first day of November. I can`t believe it`s here so fast! Where did summer go? The kitchen is turned upside down at the moment! Our table is tipped on it`s side and large pieces of cardboard are at either end to barracade one wet area of paint from us and the animals. If I wasn`t painting tiles, there`s no way I could do this in small sections. I think it`s going to look nice, but I don`t think I`d recommend doing this. It`s a lot of work and could possibly scratch easily. I`m going to put felt on the bottoms of all the legs and mop wax the floor every week just to have a bit extra protection on it. It`s a cheap way to do a floor in one`s colours of choice anyway. I guess I`ll see in the end whether it was worth it. The fridge and behind the stove is done, under the cupboards a tiny bit and along this wall where the table sits. Yes that`s my shabby computer chair due to be redone at some far point in the future and a spot where I have to lay 2 new tiles because they cracked. Tons more left to do! This is the only picture today because the mess is just too shocking in here!

Good luck with all you hard work-
I'm sure you will be seeing sqaures by the time you finish.
I'm sure it will be worth all your effort. (We have painted floors and they last quite well.)

Your hard work will be well worth it.
YOu are lucky you are so handy and can do these jobs yourself.
Blessings! ^j^

Good luck - we'll be decorating the dining room this weekend... Something I don't mind, but I don't adore doing either. I can't wait to see the finished pics :)

The problem with jobs like that is that things always look an awful mess before they get better! It's a lot of hard work, but it will be worth it in the end. Looking forward to the "after" pictures!

My friend Geoff would come and sort this out for you - all in return for tea and margaritas in your garden. What a wonderful vision that conjures up, pity you live so far away.

It always gets worse before it gets better, so many times I have begun a project and wondered why !But..once it's complete you will be the proud owner of a delightful kitchen, and when the painting is finished the fun of accessorizing can begin. Looking forward to pictures.

Looks good so far. Good luck. Don't worry about the mess. When everything is finished, the mess will soon be forgotten.

I think it will look fabulous when it is done! Meanwhile, I guess you live with the mess and keep the pets away!
