Famous Mrs. Hering's Chicken Pot Pie

I found this recipe at Simply Recipes....
http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/004089chicken_pot_pie.php

It`s a great place with step by step directions and pictures and you can subscribe to it.

I thought it best not to put the picture of the Pot Pie here, but Angus doesn`t mind.

Is that cat asleep?..I'll look over the recipes...

I just wanted to say tha last week I went vintage hunting here in my country..( err..ofcourse..)...but was sourly disappointed because verything that was considered an "old find" was way soo expensive...repugnant expensive sigh!...Maybe I went to the wrong place I'm thinking now...

How I wish I could go for a hunt...but I'm swamped with work..anyway..looking here at your cute bloggy is a stress reliever...

cuddly cuddly cat..you've got...

That is a very cute picture of your cat! Can they do anything without being cute?

Angus looks so comfy! Yummy to the chicken pot pie! I remember my mom used to buy those Banquet pot pies for a quick, cheap supper. We especially loved the beef pot pie and would slather it with ketchup. (yup...my mom was a single mother, working 2 jobs, so pot pies, goulosh, , chili, and meatloaf, with a Chef-Boy-ar-Dee box pizza for Friday nights was the norm) She often told me I was born in the wrong era! I'm thinkin' I might have to try to locate one of those box pizzas...just for old times sake!!!

I never had pot pies until I married my hubby...his mom always use to make them.....

Angus looks like he just had a delicious snack of fish, and decided to take a nap..... If we layed Angus and Max next to each other they would blend right in, for they have the same color hair and both have long hair, the only thing is Max is a dog, and I doubt if they would just lay next to each other....LOL

I was just going to say, he looks a rather fluffy orange pot pie - or perhaps he's the cat who ate the pot pie - I'll definitely give the recipe a go, thanks :)

I made this pie: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_28918,00.html
but changed the vegetables used (to add muchrooms, courgettes and pumpkins as well as some of the others) and it was very nice and easy!

Ciao bella! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm in love at first sight with your cat...I think Angus is the separated at birth twin of one of my Roman cats, Pavel, aka Pavel Cow. I am comforted to know Pavel isn't the only "big boned" cat around ;-)
Oh, and the pot pie? I am SO trying that out. Total comfort food. Awesome!
