I love the way animals look to check if anyone is watching. Sara from farmingfriends

Busted!

We had a Welsh border Collie bitch that lived forever and reared me from puppyhood... er, I mean babyhood. Anyway every once in a a while (not very often)she would go to the sack of potatoes and remove one large spud which she took to her bed and ate.

Tomatoes are in the potatoe family, aren't they?

I watch the adventures of Elvis to see what I can expect from Montana. The other day I left him unattended for 20 minutes and returned to find him on his bed eating a pair of oven mitts that he had stolen from the counter. Never a dull moment with this breed...

Elvis the tomato thief! What a darling he is, even if he does look a bit guilty...

hehe it looks like Elvis has a very healthy appetite indeed! It could be worse, we had one dog who ate just about everything she could get her jaws around - including some very unsavoury stuff indeed!

Did he eat it? Win our English Bull Terrier has devasted the herbs this year, particularly the basil - Stuart thought it was snails until he saw her chomping on it.

He! he! he! he!...

I just had a little chat with my own pooch. Seems like he'd been on a grand mischief himself...far more than Elvis there I'm afraid...I seem to be missing a porkchop and my pooch was the only one around when I left about 6 pieces on a plate on top of the dinner table..My fault..but I left for just a wee' moment..sigh!

N'ways..It's nice to read you here again..Lovely to see Elvis...and lovely to know the party was a success!

Dogs have SUCH expressive faces ... strange that they're covered in fur and don't have the supposed ability to smile etc

(except they do!)

We had an English setter that stole Oreo cookies and hid them around the house - behind curtains and behind chairs. Gracie steals raw potatoes. And like the other commenter's dog, she steals oven mitts and chews them up. Love Elvis' expression in the first photo.

I just got a beagle/basset pup and she has stolen and chewed alot of stuff already including a decomposing squirrel - it took awhile to get it out of her mouth, she kept running away..sigh.
Elvis is a rascal, a cute one at that!! that's so funny of him with the tomato!
