Daisy Lupin...........

"Cats in the Cradle and Flora in the Garden" http://www.catsinthekitchenflorainthegarden.blogspot.com/
was one of the very first blogs I`d ever discovered last year. Before I really knew what a blog was exactly. I fell onto her lovely blog set in the Lakes District of North England. I was shocked and saddened tonight, to find out that Daisy passed away this past Saturday. Although I never met her in person, she was a wonderful and friendly soul. My thoughts and prayers go out to her daughter Lydia, who was strong enough to log on to Daisy`s blog and tell us this sorrowful news. Also to her brother and Dad.

May she be looking down on her loving heart broken family and giving them some kind of comfort.

Yesterday I had a dark cloud hanging around me which really doesn`t quite want to leave yet unfortunately and one of the gazillion thoughts that crossed my mind on Monday was, what happens to blogs if their owner passes away? I really didn`t want to know the answer in the way I found out tonight though.
Hug the ones you love.............

I think it is wonderfully brave that Lydia not only posted about Daisy on the blog, but that she did on on the very day she passed away. She obviously has inherited her mother's thoughtful character. I hope that her blog remains in cyberspace, so that people can find it from time to time and appreciate the loveliness of it.

I just read that as well Tea and I was sad too. Right now I'm not far away from where she lives since I'm at my Mum's in England. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

it's nice that lydia will have her mom's blog as part of her memory.

Like you, Tea - I discovered Daisy's blog not long after she (and I) started on the road to Blogdom, and I greatly admired her way with words and pictures. I think we can all learn a lesson from her loss - and that is to leave our log-in information with someone we trust, so they can do what Lydia has so bravely done. Now and then, I have been following a blog, which has abruptly stopped, and I had no way of knowing what happened to the writer.

Very sad and all the best to her daughter. That is a good point about the blog upon somebody's passing, like mine. I guess my husband would have to figure it out...so sorry to hear the news though.

Such sad news. It's hard enough to lose someone when their death is expected, but to lose someone after a sudden illness has to be even more difficult.

Tea, I hope that the dark cloud has floated away.

That's so sad. I wish I'd known her. She must have been so very special and it looks like she had a blessed life with so many friends who cared so much for her. You all made her life wonderful too.
