Yippee! The weekends here. Hope everyone has a really nice one and that the weather is good for you. It`s supposed to be sunny and warm here all weekend.
I did these two projects a couple of weeks ago but haven`t been very up to date with posting so I thought I`d throw them up now.
The first is putting together the Bistro set. It was actually surprisingly easy and came with all it`s nuts and bolts
The green was nice and especially with the peonies but it was painted cheaply looking and I wanted black to match the trellis and back door.
So I painted it....
I like it black and it looks better in real. The umbrella was necessary because it gets really hot back here. Needs getting rid of the white colour pole at some point and having a small stand to hold it straight. Looks better without the umbrella. A roll up awning would be nice instead but not this year. The plants are from inside. I had them in the frontroom and they looked really nice when they were in bloom. Geraniums mostly. But they weren`t happy.
So their sat here now off the table and are looking like they may start to bloom again
Next project was painting this chair. I saw one in a magazine that caught my eye, especially with the pillow colours on it.
So I found some paint very close to the colour....
And painted it..
Showing just a tad bluer than it actually is.
Judypatooti over at "Memories are made of this!" blog http://judypatooote.blogspot.com/ makes her own greeting cards and would like to use Elvis as a model. It will be fun to see. He`s a star!
Have a great weekend dear bloggy friends and visitors. I`m off to weed "the was going to be a pretty brick raised garden but is a sight for sore eyes of dumped dirt and large black pots on a 3/4 finished piece of bricking.... yet hopefully edible " veg garden now :)

Looking GOOD!
Love the bistro patio and the wicker chair, good job tea!
Elvis is a cutie!
UGH weeds!!! I am tired of pulling them!
Beautiful job Tea!
Is that Elvis? He's adorable!
Thanks for visiting Tea. Nice work :)
the choice of colour speaks of evolution of human mind T&M Good job.
Hi Tea, thanks for signing my guest book - lovely to have you there! Hey, I love what you have done to your outdoor furniture. We have those little settings in the shops here, and I've never seen anyone repaint theirs...not that I've seen many, but my friends who have them left them green.
Oh you are so talented with how you can visualize... And then paint, to get the effect you want.

Everything is looking lovely Rea - you're achieving the garden inside and out!!
You'll have to get Elvis some shades to go with his newfound stardom!
I like the look of your Bistro set. Would it be possible to paint the umbrella pole black?
Hi Tea... your garden is really coming along.
And Elvis IS a star. He's such a lovey, isn't he? Well... he seems that way to me. And he looks like he's a good boy, too. (I love dogs but don't tell Pearl.)
My garden is really horrid. I've really let it go and now it looks like I need to dig up a lot of dead and dying flowers and replant some. If only the English weather would cooperate.

You are always so busy Tea and the results are always great. Painting garden furniture is tricky, you did a good job. When I was growing up, back in the Middle Ages, a lot of people had those wicker chairs in their bathrooms!
Elvis always seems to steal the show regularly. He clearly has a natural star quality and will shine as a model. He does look a bit shy in the photo perhaps he is wondering how to deal with adoring fans...
Dan.....yep, that`s Elvis :)
Stitchy fingers.....I intended to paint it black when I get a chance :)
Well pukka~ definite improvements!
Hi there hope u had a pleasing weekend in all.
Take it e.z.
