An Eventful Weekend

All day Saturday I worked on two of the chairs, as well as Sunday morning. The room is still a disaster and mismatched but I`m getting there slowly. We had a really nice time at the BBQ. I was mostly just cutting and pinning. Tons of sewing ahead, and potting trim on etc. Aren`t cats supposed to hate change? Angus just refused to keep out of my way. They all had turns checking new fabrics out....

"tum tee tum....I don`t hear you"

I ran out if the stripe for this chair but luckily had some check that was exactly the same colour so I did the arms in that. When both chairs are finished I`ll post a couple of pictures. And then there`s a pull out couch and a small chair left and then pillows and then rug and then....it doesn`t seem to end!

Elvis sat amongst the mess while I cut and pinned and hubby rested and did research on his laptop. Fabric and cords everywhere. I`m going to take up these carpets soon and just have a little throw one for Elvis till I get the proper match I think. They really clash now....

We decided on having Chinese food for supper so I ran out to get some and we ate it in the frontroom.....with the usual pair in audience looking on.......

This chair is the same one in the above pic behind Elvis. Waverly fabric for $4.99 a metre. Turning out better than I hoped...Better than Teddy hoped too, it seems.....

"Zzzzzzzzzzz"

Oh and how could I not have one or two of these this weekend? :) Hubby is recovering slowly. Not near as fast as he had hoped though. Thanks so much everyone for the well wishes! They are greatly appreciated.

Hi & hello! it's been so long since I've been able to come out & play in blogland that I'd forgotten that we were supposed to packing Margarida up & despatching her off to you so she get hitched up with Angus. She's sitting behind me, on my bookcase, looking at him & drooling "What a cool hunk!" & "Hmm, that's my kind of armchair. I could just picture being snuggled up with Angus, getting intimate". There's no cat as articulately expressive as Margarida, honestly.
Now, what happened to Hubby? What have i missed?

First, I am sorry to hear that your husband is in such pain. A sore back is very challenging to deal with and even when pain meds work, moving starts it all up again.

Secondly, I love the way you even co-ordinate your liquid refreshments with your new upholstery! You have margarita inspired decorating! LOL

Did I say you are so talented? :-) Yes, I did. But it bears re-saying.

Wow, Tea, you simply amaze me with your decorating abilities! You must have enormous patience to be able to cover all that furniture.

Lovely cat...they always look so relaxed in your photos.

Your animal companions are so much fun to see and read about!

If you are offering margaritas you'll have more help than you need.
It looks to me like there are a lot of bosses on the site.

You must have a lot of patience to cover all that furniture. Your home will be really nice when everything is finished. Love your pets. They are really cute, especially Angus sitting on the chair. I'm a new visitor here but will call back and see you again soon
