Happy April 1st! or April Fools day :)
Jackie, over at Musings from Jacran Cottage....waving...."Hi Jackie" http://jacrancottage.blogspot.com/ was at the festival too! We didn`t run into each other but it`s funny because I was wondering if she would be there. She has a link to the festival at her blog. People come from all over the world for this huge little event here in Canada.
Someone went to a lot of work making these bird houses.....
The trail of people goes down the street a long way......
There was even log sawing....
Mmmmmmmmm, home made fudge with samples to try..........
More food....
Hand made teddy bears.....
Elephant Ears are a sweet pastry but now they even have pizza ones!
Garden Gnome overload......
Giant Pickles on a stick the size of a typical cucumber!
A balloon clown for the kiddies.....
More crafts.....
And warm sheep skins.....
Despite the cloudy and chilly day, the rain held off and we had a nice time.
We stopped by St. Jacobs on our way home and into the Discount Bookstore to have a browse. I found a great decorating ideas book for under $10. I did have a picture of the village but it`s gone missing somehow LOL
Hope you enjoyed a peek at the Festival :)

Oh! Elephant ears! I forgot all about those. Haven't had one for years. God, they are so good. I'm going to have to make some!
How did I miss this as it's just less than an hour away from me! Darn.Oh well natureboy did bring me home some freshly tapped maple syrup from St. Jacobs this week!hugs NG
Wow -- this looks like fun. Over here in England Maple syrup isn't well known. I grew up in Michigan and I remember going out to see maple trees being tapped and so forth.
Happy April. I hope Spring starts bursting forth soon.

Gee it looks like you had a wonderful time. :)
I love seeing all the stalls and the small cultural differences between nations (Elephant ears, for one!) - it all looks so much fun. I'm glad you had a fab time - that is one event I'd love to go to.
The maple syrup festival looks like a lot of fun, I love maple syrup on pancakes even though I'm English. I've been to the US quite a few times though:)
Such nice pics. I wish I could go to a syrup fesival!
Thanks for taking us along Tea. It's been many years since I visited Elmira. I'd forgotten how much there is to see. I think I will plan a visit for the warmer weather, it is not too far from us.
I love the baby lambs..!
That looks like fun!
Wow - mega photos, mega-day out.
How fun. I love big ol' pickles. I love fairs and festivals!!
