Mainly Starring Angus, but Some Woof and Fabric too.....

Hey! Excuse me!

What do you think you`re doing there?

Just this...(I`m definately going to paint those table legs brown this summer)

And this....

What`s the problem ma?

I layed out the fabric I found for the bed that matches as close as I can get, but there were some complications in taking a picture....

This one is called Portfolio Bellington. It`s beautiful with a linen mix and ecru backgound....

Hey! Not you again.....

This is a Waverly Toile with the same colours and though the background looks whiter here, it`s actually the same as the floral....

I`m not going to do any sewing yet. I want to concentrate on the bed and hopefully in the next few months I`ll be showing how I`m going to reproduce all that trim for the bed. I`m quite excited about finding a way without spending a fortune. I love the internet! Stay tuned.
In the meantime, hubby has been making bunk beds for when the boys visit. This frees up our spare sitting room/library(sorta)for reading tv or knitting or doing homework.
Angus found another comfy spot, if only temporary. I`ll take a pic of the beds when he`s fixed something he says needs fixing. Won`t be staining them until I can open the windows though...

Give us a kiss....

We came home the other day to the garbage emptied out and spread to feast the eyes on all across the kitchen floor. An absolutely vile mess...coffee grounds mixed with broken tea bags, meat wrappers etc etc. Elvis hides his naughty head..

But who can help lovin him anyway...

Two of my baskets fell from the ceiling this weekend. I didn`t feel like climbing up and putting them back so I removed two more and just left the ones near the sink, although I think I`ll take them down too as they`re dusk catchers, big time.

No.....I still haven`t sewn this chair yet LOL

I`m really slowing down on blogging. I think unless I have something really worthwhile, I might slack off more. Confession...I`d rather read others! And trying to comment with slow dial up :( It usually takes three or four tries before the darn things post. Always comes up blank. I usually don`t give up, because I like to commment. But if I don`t, you know why.
Anyway, have a great rest of Sunday weekend!

Oh my, that is one of the cleanest, fluffiest kittiest I have ever seen. How did you make the fur so lovely and puffy?

Angus is working hard to be a pin up star like Elvis, huh? Tell him to keep working it - he's almost there. lol

I remember when we had dial up, not so long ago. (I fought for the longest time to keep from getting high-speed. My dial up was sooo much cheaper, then they raised the price so my husband talked me into switching). Anyway, dial up can be aggravating because of the time it takes AND when you sometimes lose the stuff you've been writing. I've probably used fewer curse words since switching over. lol

You'll probably blog more once spring comes. I seem to remember losts of posts and beautiful pictures of the outdoors from you last summer. I think being stuck indoors makes it harder for you to blog because you so enjoy talking about your garden, etc. Or maybe I'm just projecting how I feel! ha I'm having a hard time blogging on a regular schedule myself, but I swear I think it's from being stuck inside all the time, looking out my windows at the dead grass and naked trees. Maybe spring time will renew us both. Let's hope so, anyway!

Hummm. I have a simular fur spot on my camara lens at times. It just suddenly appears in the middle of picture taking? Nothing there one second, clear shot ::click:: and ::POOF:: big ol' fur spot in the middle of the picture! Mine goes my a different name than yours :o)

Errrrrr ... You do know that it is Angus' house and you are allowed to live there ... don't you?

Beautiful fabrics. I currently am without any good drapes and all funiture is draped with old pieces of quits, and such. The kittens are a demolition tag team! The first time I found one of the kittens hanging half-way up my barkcloth drapes ... Down they came. Both. Kitten and drapes! I'll just wait a bit thank you very much until I rehang them (uh, the drapes) not the kitten ::giggle::

And, Miss Tea ...
Speaking for all of us at the cottage ...
Stop by ANY time and stay as long as you like. A comment is lovely, but we always know you have popped over to say hi ... never worry about that silly feeling of obligation! But if Elvis tips the garbage while you are here, I will send a kitten home with him ... Probably the one that egged him into doing the excavtion in the first place! ::wink::

=^..^= love, zU

Write when you're inspired - it will be worth waiting for. I always enjoy your house and your pets. Angus is hilarious. He knows exactly what he's doing. And poor Elvis. Gracie chewed up one of my work shoes Saturday morning just because I shut her out of my bedroom. Those darn critters.

Come 'round when you can. I understand.

Hello today Tea, I see your family are much in the picture :)

I can understand their thinking seeing as we all get to OOh! AND AAh! over them in your pictures.

The fabric is stunning and I am looking forward to seeing the finished item.

love always Lee-ann

Nice pictures of your pets! I had dial-up for many years, and yes, it sucks. Very frustrating, I'd never want to go back! Especially loading pictures, it used to be SO slow. Hope you're staying warm up there! :)

Oh Tea, your decorating projects are coming along so well! I am impressed with your sewing abilities - no way would I ever be recovering a chair let alone thinking to give new life to curtains that way. The fur kids make such wonderful props for your pictures hehe!

I know about the blogging dilemma. I am actually giving thought to closing my blog for similar reasons. I will have to make a decision by April as I don't have service at the cottage and I will be there all summer.

Keep warm!

Beautiful post! I know what you mean about slowing down on blogging. We've don't it too.

But don't quit because I love keeping up with what's going on over there with you and the whole gang.

Love the Angus and Elvis pictures. What a couple of characters.

Thanks for leaving me a comment! I just love this post! Angus seems like my Mabel, anytime I get involved in a project, she tries to lay right on top of it. You have cute animals.

Thanks for the compliment to my mom, I think she's pretty fabulous too! Although, the black and white drawing is actually by my little sister.. it's of Carole Lombard (my favorite). Shame I didnt get some of thier drawing genes!

MWAH!!! (Make sure he gets it.)
Tea, hope you are well! I love toile fabric too. I saw a lavender coloured one the other day, that I thought would make a great pillow fabric.

At the present, we have 3 cats, and they do their best to find me and sit on whatever I happen to be working on. Cookbook, bible, newspaper, knitting...you name it, they are there. But try to look for them to give them some lovin', and they run for their lives. It's their way or the highway!

Will be looking forward to the updates! Nice fabric. And of course, the babies add so much to the photos! Love it.

Missing you, your cats, your home and Elvis. But I understand. I have not felt like blogging lately but I feel "obligated." I know, stupid.
