Rain Rain Go Away and Old Men Like to Get High....

It`s been raining almost every day this month and the tomato plants aren`t too happy. Hopefully they survive because it will be disappointing without some lovely garden tomatoes. There`s nothing like them.It wouldn`t be so bad if it were sun showers, but it`s mostly hazy or down right dark skies. Today so far it hasn`t rained and the sun is peeping through a bit. Elvis poses in a break from the rain.

Teddy had a few nibbles of the catnip.

I think he may have forgotten where he was because he sat in it for a half an hour.

We went to the horse races last weekend and had a fun time. Harness, not jockey. I`d love to go to the Thoroughbreds sometime though. It must be very stressful not to crash these funny little carts into each other.

Hair salon yesterday to get my hair styled and coloured back to my original colour.
It`s a bit darker than I wanted, but hopefully I`ll get used to it. I guess I should really have wigs. Cheaper and easier on the hair.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! It`s Canada Day on Tuesday here, but I`ve got Monday off instead.

I wish there was more rain here. It can be very hot at times.

Happy Canada day Tea. Oh I feel for you, there is little worse than that rain and persistant grey skies, especially when its the time of year when is should be sunny. Thanks for my birthday best wishes, shame you missed the party - never mind, with luck there will be another year. Bob.

Sounds as though you are having a similar summer to us, sun has been in short supply this year so far.
The harness racing looks like fun, as far as I know we don't get that kind of racing in UK.
Big hug for my friend Elvis:)

There's my little sweetheart Elvis....what fun you must have had, I've never been to any kind of a horse race....speaking of hair, I have to go to get mine cut. I've been hacking at it myself and my hairdresser frowns on that...LOL....I've never colored my hair....when in high school I once used a black henna and it didn't touch the color of my hair...when a child it was auburn, but now its black with some grey....I call it my own form of frosting.....have a great 4th and a great Canada Day..... judy

ah, Teddy - our oldie cat Tom takes a considerable time to decide about things these days - our tomatoes aren't doing very well this year either and hardly any peas or gooseberries.

Does Elvis attack the catnip or does he just trance out?

I love your name-- my nick is Tea because I practically IV the stuff, and Marguerite is my baptismal name-- and I could IV the tequila but I fall asleep after a drink or two.

Hi all especially Elvis, we have had more than our fair share of rain here in the UK. As long as it does not water down the Margaritas and it saves time going round with the watering can!
