I Think Summer Came Instead of Spring

It`s an amazing day outside. Hot and sunny. But isn`t spring supposed to be here for awhile before summer? Nipped out and did a bit of cleaning up in the garden.
Elvis wasn`t quite sure he wanted to spend anymore time outside in the heat.

There`s a few spring flowers up. I didn`t really plant enough I guess.

Out he came after all....

Angus was stuck up here with this floor vase while I washed and shone up the floors the other day. What a mess that dried stuff makes when moved. Soon be able to replace it with something fresh..

Get off there Elvis, I need to strip the bed. Time to get out the vintage linen sheets , wash everything fresh and hang it all on the line while the sun is still shining. As you can see, I`ve done absolutely nothing towards my new bed and bedding plans yet. The fabric sits waiting in the spare room. No wood bought yet for the headboard and foot. But I do have a great book on how to make all the fancy trim from salt dough! A Fall project now most likely.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

I love the weather we're having lately! So unseasonably warm!
I have lots of projects on the list too! Wish there was more time to do all the fun stuff!

Hello Tea, yes the weather is like summer hot but then winter freezing...can't make up its mind here!
The gardens are looking great, love the photos, don't they cheer you up.

The same thing happened here - we're getting quite warm. Soon we'll be scorching... and we're in a perpetual drought lately. I'm planting a lot of low-water plants. :P

I got intoxicated at a nursery today-- it's too early to buy anything yet, but I bought some artichoke plants and heliotrope. I need to get a garden going and I found some other nice things. We still have snow on the ground.

I'm kind of late at reading this, I have been putting my extra stuff up on ebay....and that takes time... I haven't stopped by many blogs but I hope to get back into the swing of it.....Elvis looks so darn cute on the bed....I love your quilt by the way....and Angus looks quite at home by the dried flowers.....I have a bird cage hanging by a window, and I hung dried herbs and hydrangas (sp?) off the bottom of it.....I hate to move it because now they are so dry, and they do sprinkle little fine dust all over....I sprayed them, but it still falls....and as far as summer before spring, hey we just had winter again...mother nature is having a senior moment this year.....LOL give Elvis a smooch for me..... judy

It is finally nice enough here for me to leave my patio door open for the dogs to go inside and out. Otherwise, they drive me nuts.

Gracie loves our bed too. She always has such a guilty look when I catch her on it. Elvis seems a bit guilty too. Gracie is only a medium size dog but she is so heavy I have to fight to get covers on me when she has planted herself on the bed and she won't budge.

Beautiful day, beautiful bed, adorable Elvis. The first shot looked like we were viewing the ghost of Elvis (ha!) Give him a big kiss on his nose from me.

I've missed Elvis and Angus! I haven't been blogging regularly so I've missed getting to see them. lol

I love your quilt....very pretty.

It's supposed to be 95 degrees here this Saturday. I'm not happy about that. It's too early in the season to already be in the '90s!!!
