First thing before the kids open their gifts, they present the animals with Santa`s surprises for them.
Elvis goes first...
He loved his sweet potatoe snacks, but had to make sure he wasn`t missing anything...
"Oh, for me? You shouldn`t have."
Isobell checks hers out. One year she actually opened her own gift. Sure wish I`d had a camera handy for that one! As you can see my herbs are looking rough but some are actually surviving!
Teddy has a sniff of his present....
The only one that liked their gift was Elvis. Dried fish, catnip treats and beef nibbles. Not one of those was cat tasty! They`ll all end up in Elvis`s tum tum eventually LOL
We then went to my Mum and Dad`s and the birds were having a food celebration of their own. I caught this woodpecker. The pic was close up so not the best...
We had a lovely family gathering and now Elvis and me would like to wish everyone the happiest and most prosperous New Year!
Happy New Year!!!

Hi Tea,
Here's wishing you and your Inner Circle all the best for the coming year. May it be filled with much fun, joy + happiness. The days filled with much much Sun (light) and the nights filled with bright Starlight.
That Elvis is such a cut-up!
I am glad you are back posting. I had wanted to send you an ecard for New Year's but I don't have your email address so I will say it here: "I hope you and your family have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2008!"

How cute - Christmas gifts for your pets! Our animals get the leftovers....lol - I'm kidding. We go out for meals on Xmas Day, so there are no leftovers!
Best wishes for a very happy New Year!
Dearest Tea,
Thank you for your kind words!
I wish you and your family a Very Happy New Year!!!
Angus' facial expression is priceless!

Hugs all the way from Sweden

We gave up buying the cats gifts a few years ago because the cat treats were generally ignored by the cats and snitched by the dogs - they all prefer to get some of the turkey anyway!
Happy New Year to you all.

Why Elvis that looks like a snarl... and to me one of your favorite bloggers....LOL Happy New Years Tea...... judy
When I was very young we had a German Shepherd named Fritz. We bought him a squeaky toy and wrapped it. My stepdad teased him Christmas eve by squeaking the wrapped toy. The next morning when we woke up to see what santa had brought, most of the presents had been tore into while Fritz tried to find his squeaker! No more presents for the pets!
