I love my herb-garden, it's full of lavender, sage, bergamot, sweet cicely, fennel (bronze and normal), lovage, oregano, 3 types of sage - regular, purple and tricoloured - lemon thyme, normal thyme, lemon balm, calendula, 2 rosemarys, peppermint and cologne mint, poppies (for their edible seeds) and bits and bobs here and there. I love that they are all useful for different things - fennel seed tea is great for an upset stomach, lavender is soothing and lemon balm is good for headaches!

Beautiful photos :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30208752.post-67782937871679976342007-06-13T05:28:00.000-04:002007-06-13T05:28:00.000-04:00stitchy fingers...I printed it out on normal large...stitchy fingers...

I printed it out on normal large size computer paper and coloured it with artist pencil crayons. Your herb pots look good, it was a nice present for DH to get you. I always say herb pronouncing the has do all English people that I've come across. I found it very odd when I heard Americans calling them 'erbs' but I'm used to it now. I think it may be that, like a lot of American pronunciation, it is the original way it was said in Tudor England that went across the Atlantic with the early settlers. You've kept the original and we've changed how we say it over time.Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30208752.post-6923584686654601962007-06-12T07:06:00.000-04:002007-06-12T07:06:00.000-04:00Bless the boy, he looks so innocent!
